Fly Fishing the Runway’s Shadow for Striped Bass

In this first episode, chef and restaurateur Colin Ambrose takes us to water that many of us have probably only seen from the window of an airplane. Accompanied by top chef Kerry Heffernan and legendary guide Brendan McCarthy, Colin explores the back bays and estuaries of New York’s Jamaica Bay – only a few miles from downtown Manhattan. After a few good stripers, they beach themselves on a tiny island for a shore lunch of local porgies and clams.
