New Regulations on the Madison River: Open Year Round

Our buddies over at Montana Angler are spreading the news! Montana’s legendary Madison River will now be open year round! Previously, much of the Madison had been closed from the end of February to the 3rd Saturday in May. Now, 100 miles of trout water on the Madison River – from Hebgen Lake to the Missouri – will be open year round. Montana Angler goes on to explain the new fishing options that these regulations bring, and how you should best approach the new water during these times of year.
